Thank you for your quick reply! Here's what I got with the "verbose" command: My-Name:~ MyName$ yt-dlp -verbose Using most recent version of yt-dlp, installed via Homebrew. ![]() MacBook Pro 13 inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports.Unfortunately, the problem persisted except now instead of showing the thumbnail, it just showed the icon of the VLC player (my default video player). I thought that embedding thumbnails might be causing the issue, so I took out that line in my config file and tried downloading a video. It's pretty annoying, because I often use Finder to play/preview videos. I can only play them in the VLC player or other video players. Usually, mp4 videos are able to be played in Finder, but all of these recently downloaded videos are unable to be played/previewed in finder. Read/search the yt-dlp README doc and the open issues trackerĪfter upgrading my version of yt-dlp back in June, and carrying over with July's update, all of the videos I download are unable to be previewed in Finder. No Download Requests Do not request others to make downloads on your behalf. ![]()
